DIY t-shirts day 3: We’re halfway through the week, I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already. Today’s DIY is one of my favorites and one of the hardest shirts to find in stores! This style is so simple, in just three easy steps you can create your own striped shirt and you don’t need to sew!
You’ll need to buy some fabric glue; the one I used was for basic hemming. It wasn’t my favorite brand but it worked perfectly!
1. Measure and Cut: Decide on how wide you want your stripes to be, and how many you want. I went with 3 stripes each at 3 inches.
2. Glue and Dry: Apply the glue all over the lace making sure to apply generously and around the edges. The glue will dry clear so you don’t have to worry about seeing the glue peak through the lace. Use a paper towel to press the lace onto the t-shirt. Run your hands through the inside of the shirt so that the shirt doesn’t stick to itself as it dries. If you get any glue on your hands, be sure to wash it off as soon as possible.
3. Repeat the same steps on the back. Let the shirt dry for 24 hours before you wear or wash it.
